The problem we solve

Permanent makeup lives on your face for one to three years — longer if it goes wrong. Yet in Michigan, as in most states, anyone can start offering it after a weekend certificate course, and the marketing all looks identical: ring-lit fresh-work photos, filtered before-and-afters, and pricing that tells you nothing about skill. The difference between a master artist and a beginner is invisible on Instagram and unmistakable six weeks later, when the work has healed.

Meanwhile, correction and removal work is the fastest-growing part of the industry. Most of it is fixing choices people made with the only information they had.

What we actually do

We do the vetting most people can’t. Before any artist enters our network, we verify their Michigan body-art facility license, review healed results — work photographed six weeks and six months out, not day one — and read through their review history for how the work aged and how they treated clients. Then, when you tell us what you want, we match you with an artist whose specialty, portfolio, and skin-type experience fit your case specifically.

Alongside matching, we publish honest guides — real cost breakdowns, healing timelines, technique comparisons, and candidacy checklists that include who shouldn’t book. If the guides talk you out of a service, they did their job.

How it stays free

Clients never pay us anything. Studios in our network pay a small referral fee when a match becomes a booking — the same model as any professional referral network. You pay the studio directly, at the studio’s standard pricing. Our incentive is long-term: we only get referred back to when the matches turn out well.

Beyond Michigan

Great PMU work is worth a drive, and southeast Michigan holds one of the Midwest’s deepest concentrations of senior artists. We regularly match clients from northwest Ohio, northern Indiana, and the Chicago area — especially for correction cases and specialist work — and connect aspiring artists across all four states with Michigan’s small-class, live-model PMU training programs.
